I work part time at RX Catering in Little Rock, Arkansas during the holiday season. When I’m off, I go back to New York to spend time with my friends and mothers side of the family while studying. Here are some of the things I do to spend the nights here at the big apple!

New York gives visitors a great experience in the day time, but it doesn’t mean that activities dwindle at night. Many interesting activities will keep night owls entertained in the City that Never Sleeps.

Here are a few of those activities that you can consider:

Have a Drink and Socialize at the Lower East Side If you love the nightlife, and you’re looking to dance, have a few drinks and socialize, the Lower East Side is one of the best and more affordable places to do this. Most of the restaurants in this area turn into a bar and allow the place.

Party Hard at the House of Yes (HOY) This place pulls all the stops and can be considered as one of the wildest nights you can have in the city. High ceilings, bright, colorful lights strobing against the setting, along with burlesque and cabaret performances, circus acrobats, drag queens—the House of Yes seems to make all possibilities of fun limitless.

Admire the View from the Empire State at Night The observation deck gives one of the best 360-degree views of the city glittering with lights at night. It is an experience that most people say is quite memorable, despite being a bit cliché or touristy. It may be wise to buy tickets ahead of time to minimize the waiting time.

Take a Walk at Times Square Times Square at night is absolutely spectacular. It is one of the most popular attractions in New York. Also known as “The Crossroads of the World” or “The Center of the Universe”, this place is bright and colorful with huge 24-hour electronic billboards. This experience is definitely a must in your itinerary.

Watch a Broadway Show Broadway is known to house several popular musicals. Find out what play is scheduled on your visit and sit down and enjoy the spectacular performance of the actors in Broadway.

Wind Down in a Bathhouse If you opt to skip the nightlife and want a quiet, relaxing experience, take a dip in one of the city’s bathhouses. The nice warm temperature of the water will help your tired muscles relax and lighten your mood for the day.

Visit the Russian & Turkish Bathhouse, or the Great Jones Spa, or the Mermaid Spa before 10PM to enjoy this luxury.
